Vascular access made easy. Did you know that creating access to the blood stream with a catheter (vascular access or cannulation) is the most common invasive procedure in medical practice? Still up to 15-45% of the cannulation attempts fail initially. Envision Medical is committed to make vascular access simple to perform and easy to learn. We work with a small, dedicated team in close cooperation with medical professionals, partners and patients. We envision a world without misscannulation. To achieve this, we have developed the Vascoscope supported by the Dutch Kidney Foundation, University Medical Center Utrecht and in close cooperation with the users. Ultrasound guidance is the golden standard for more complex cannulation procedures, but is used sparsely because ultrasound devices are not fit-for-use. Vascoscope is a unique ultrasound (US) system that is specifically designed for supporting vascular cannulation. It’s unique features include probe stabilization with easy “drag and drop” fixation and simultaneous viewing of ultrasound image and cannulation location.
