Epfl Architecture

Architecture, part of the ENAC faculty, evolves within a transdisciplinary environment where architects, civil engineers, and environmental engineers engage together in research and education. Their mission is to explore new ways of merging knowledge and action, and to initiate positive transformations for our societies. EPFL Architecture is composed of the Institute of Architecture (IA), the Architecture Section (SAR), and the doctoral program in Architecture and Sciences of the City (EDAR). Our community works within and across disciplinary boundaries, positioning itself in the current context of climate and social urgency. Drawing on science, technology, and both theoretical and practical tools, architecture serves as a powerful means of transforming knowledge into projects and offering new perspectives on real-world scenarios.
