EQTutors was created as the academic arm of The Equilibrium Learning System. Our three main client groups are: Transfer Students - EQTutors have developed a unique series of resources and a bespoke approach to support students moving educational system. We have a great deal of experience specifically with students coming from Italy and Switzerland to study at boarding/day school in the UK. Our programs include EFL, emotional development, cultural shift as well as the usual academic elements. Benefiting from the Equilibrium Learning System, our students have consistently attained their target school AND made the transition to a new country smoothly. Remedial Support - working with students with dyslexia, ADHD, dyspraxia, mild pervasive developmental disorders, and other emotional or cognitive challenges - EQTutors helps them develop a best practise and turn this into a habit. Often our students are highly verbal, but this intelligence is simply not coming out on the page. Elite Students - These tend to be high achieving students looking to enter either Ivy League or Oxbridge. Support for these students includes a great deal of off curricula work including developing business initiatives, advanced learning support (attending lectures/seminars with pre and post lecture debate and research), as well as field trips and the development of talent, interest and advanced academic skill-sets) EQTutors is built on a simple set of philosophies: 1. We will always work in the best interest of our students 2. If a child cannot learn the way they are being taught, it is beholden upon us to teach the way they learn. Detail matters 4. To always remember how it felt to be a student and approach every teaching situation socratically. Be the person that we wish we had when we needed the support we are offering others. It is not our job to give students answers. It is our job to help them develop their own ability to ask the right questions.
