Equality In Tourism

Equality in Tourism is non-profit working to make the tourism industry more just, sustainable and equitable. We advocate for the transformation of gender relations in destinations and tourism organisations. We have created a global network dedicated to ensuring that women have an equal voice in the industry, and share the benefits of tourism worldwide. We use this network of experts to provide gender specialist advice, capacity building and innovation, promoting a human rights approach to tourism business and development. As part of our work in the industry, we have launched the first Gender Equality Award in the tourism and hospitality industry, presented annually at the ITB Berlin. This award recognises leaders within the industry who display excellence in their commitment to gender equality. We reward their work and highlight best practises for replication and development across the industry, encouraging tourism businesses to integrate gender equality into their policies and work practises.
