Equus Environmental
Equus work with environmentally friendly, evaporative cooling technology and filtration systems to keep stables beautifully cool and provide a constant supply of clean filtered air, even in the hottest weather. Stable block designs have undoubtedly developed in the last decade, we’ve come a long way from wooden boxes with little ventilation, however, whatever the material Stables can still retain heat. Little airflow within stables can increase the risk of equine respiratory diseases such as strangles, equine influenza, equine asthma and herpesviruses. Contributors like dust, pollen and moulds from bedding, feed and even pollutants from air outside can all congest an enclosed environment despite windows and doors. The process of rest and recovery is vastly important to a horse in work for elite performance. The passive recovery process should therefore occur in sufficient temperatures and air quality conditions.
