As a licensed Civil Celebrant, I put together ceremonies for Weddings, Naming Days, Commitments and Funerals. I speak at length to my clients, and I form a relationship with them that is unparralled in any other industry.I ask them how they met, fell in love and what their hopes and aspirations for the future are. I tell their story for them, before their audience and I tell it the way they ask. With Funerals, the procedure is much the same; the circumstances however, are far different. I offer support without platitudes, I understand what they are going through but I never pretend I am in their position. I rarely know exactly what they are feeling inside. I help where I can, I write the story of their loved one the way they want it written. I deliver my services, sometimes with the help of my clients, their friends and family, sometimes when emotions get the better of them I step in and try to hold them together. Would I forego the difficult and just take the easy? Not on your life, it is the difficult things that define us, the way we handle them is the way we are.
