ESA Distribution Pty Ltd manufactures and sells the SeaBreezer (and optional SkyVent), a patented, wind directional, skylight ventilation system. The unique ventilation system works by turning to face into the wind and using the airfoil design to create negative pressure and draw air from the building. The head unit does not constantly spin like most roof ventilators, reducing noise, and prolonging bearing life. The SeaBreezer has a completely clear throat which enables the unit to vent heat and air even when there is no wind using the chimney stack effect. Increased natural ventilation provides benefits such as reducing cooling costs, condensation, mould and mildew. Reducing moisture in the roof space will also improve the effectiveness of insulation. The clear dome allows light into the roof space or living area (via the optional SkyVent). The benefits of increasing natural light include discouraging nocturnal pests from nesting in the roof space, and reducing the need for artificial lighting, saving on power usage and costs.
