Escape Films ASBL works with narrative building using a fusion of art and science in order to tackle the big challenges of the 21st century: the biotech revolution, automation and climate change. This encompasses app development, filmmaking, deep learning, effective altruism, and social network media. They aim to bridge the gap between the scientific community and the major public, and to catalyze and facilitate the implementation of rational and sustainable values for the future. The notion of cultural narratives produced by art being central to overcoming global issues was first introduced in the book 21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari.
