Hi, my name is Esmond, I work as a coach and I am the author in session of ‘Denial (Don't Even Notice I Am Lying’, my story of the chronic long term emotional effects of a boarding school education on the boys who learned to repress their emotions and went on to become men with mental health issues. It speaks of the prevalence of addiction, anxiety and depression amongst privileged boarding school educated men between the ages of 25 and 55 years old, and explores ways to overcome dependency on mood altering behaviors and substances, and to learn that it’s safe to feel again. After ten years working at UBS and other investment banks in New York and London, I spent 9 years living and working in Vietnam, and then Bali where I spent time practising the teachings of Dr Joe Dispenza, Sadhguru, Harry Palmer, Michael Neill and Shantam Nityama. I became aware of the many layers of false self I had created that were creating obstructions to my emotional and mental well-being. My coaching facilitates insights into the invisible, into the thinking that is creating the feelings so many are running away from or avoiding. I am passionate about supporting men who may be in DENIAL of the true state of their emotional and mental health, to rediscover their innate sense of aliveness, wholeness and well-being. I specialise in creating a bridge and reflection for transformational insights to occur. Supporting men to open up and express themselves; recognising and acknowledging that asking for help requires courage, and courage takes us back into the heart, through the darkness, and back into the light.
