Redefining waste, one drop at a time. Espiku designs and develops water treatment and mineral extraction technologies that are efficient, cost-effective, portable, modular, and deployable anywhere. Our technologies rely on low-pressure evaporative cycles to extract clean water and valuable minerals from saline or contaminated sources. From environmentally responsible water and lithium production to minimizing land subsidence in the extractive industry, our innovations provide a critical pathway to transition to a sustainable & clean energy future. We perform cutting edge research in thermal and fluid transport, phase change, power generation systems, and thermal-fluid digital control with the purpose of developing portable and affordable water and energy systems that are easily adopted by retail or industrial customers. Our team conducts research on water desalination and related technologies under awards from DOE's Solar Energy Technology Office (SETO) and Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-E), the Department of Defense, the state of Oregon, M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust, among others.
