Essel Acoustics is a specialist consultancy with expert skills and the relevant experience in occupational noise and both hand arm and whole body vibration assessments. The company listens to customers’ needs to solve noise and vibration problems and its aim is to resolve these effectively and efficiently for a safe and more productive working environment (and make businesses aware of their legal responsibilities for protecting employees against injuries and illnesses such as noise induced hearing loss, back ailments, and hand arm vibration syndrome). The founder of Essel Acoustics, Satish Lakhiani has had more than 20 years’ experience in noise and vibration control, initially as an engineer where he was responsible for the design of hearing protection devices, and now as a consultant. He has an MSc in Applied Acoustics and is a full member of the Institute of Acoustics (IoA). Satish has has experience of conducting occupational noise/vibration surveys in the following industry sectors: aerospace, automotive, local authority, cardboard recycling, money counting centres, server/data rooms, food and beverage packaging, military (within armoured vehicles), and command and control rooms (assessing emissions from communications headsets).
