At Essential Therapy Chicago, we aim to create an open and welcoming therapy environment where clients feel empowered to make positive changes in their personal lives and relationships. We base our practice on an integrative framework incorporating psychodynamic, client-centered, and mindfulness-based theories, and will also utilize techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapies to support therapeutic growth and coping skill development. Our team is experienced working with adult individuals struggling with a range of difficulties arising from depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, trauma, low self-esteem, dysfunctional family system and parent relationship issues, and difficulties maintaining healthy adult relationships. We also specialize in working with young adults who are struggling to establish a strong sense of self and to determine long-term personal and career goals.
