Eumigs

European Master in Migration Studies (EuMIGS) is Europe’s largest network of master programmes in the area of Migration Studies. Currently, 12 high-level institutes of migration research and their respective master programmes form EuMIGS. The aim of EuMIGS is to promote the mobility and cross-country learning of students as well as the exchange and cooperation of teaching staff between the participating institutes. Centrepiece of the network is a Double Degree Programme between 5 participating universities- Universidade da Coruña (Spain): Social Policies and Socio-Community Intervention (MOPS)- Université de Neuchâtel (Switzerland): Migration and Citizenship - Universität Osnabrück (Germany): International Migration and Intercultural Relations (IMIB)- Malmö University (Sweden): International Migration and Ethnic Relations (IMER)- Linköping Universitet (Sweden): Ethnic and Migration Studies In order to obtain a EuMIGS Double Degree, master students spend the second year of their studies at one of the partner master programmes in another country. Upon successfully finishing their studies, they receive a Double Degree from both their home and host university. Students furthermore have the possibility to visit one of the other partner programmes for a simple exchange. This exchange option is offered by the Double Degree partners as well as between the following programmes- Advanced Migration Studies at University of Copenhagen (Denmark)- Migration studies at École Normal Supérieure de Lyon (France)- Governance of Migration and Diversity at Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam (Netherlands)- Migration Studies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain)- Master program Sociology with study extension program in Migration Studies at Paris Lodron University Salzburg (Austria)- Master in Sociology with professional focus in Immigration Studies at University of Liège (Belgium)- Migration Studies at Université Côte d’Azur (France)
