Eurofidai

Eurofidai is a research institute funded by the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research), which benefits from Intramural Service Unit (UPS 3390) status. Its main mission is to develop European stock exchange databases that are useful to academic researchers in finance. Eurofidai is a collaborative project between the CNRS, Grenoble University, HEC Paris and the University of Toulouse. Empirical research concerning European financial markets is currently hindered by several factors, among which are high access costs to financial and stock exchange data and the difficulty to obtain quality data. That’s why Eurofidai works to create verified, controlled and homogeneous databases over long periods, the same way CRSP does with American data. Eurofidai is the only academic organization providing European market databases that respond to these problems.
