Euronatur Foundation

EuroNatur, founded in 1987, is an international nature conversation organisation dedicated to cross-border nature conservation throughout Europe. It is based in Radolfzell on Lake Constance, Germany, and has an office in Brussels, Belgium. Around 40 people work for EuroNatur. With cross-border nature and species conservation projects in the areas of primary and old-growth forests, freshwater, the European Green Belt, migratory birds, large carnivores (bear, wolf, lynx) and lobbying at EU level, the organisation helps to preserve Europe's nature in all its diversity. And local partners are the key to preserving this unique natural environment. EuroNatur works with local partner organisations in the Balkan countries, giving them the support they need to effectively protect nature, the basis of life for us all. EuroNatur projects are designed for the long term and take into account the needs of local people. The organisation is committed not only to the protection of wildlife and their habitats in Europe, but also to the ecologically sustainable development of the regions.
