euSEND is a matchmaker and portfolio manager for public-private research & development consortia in the area of neglected diseases, with the aim to create pragmatic solutions to alleviate the societal and economic burden of (most) neglected diseases. euSEND wants to bring together the best academic minds and private sector expertise from around the world to create a range of competences and recourses not accessible to a single enterprise. euSEND develops solutions for neglected diseases in an economically sustainable manner, thus creating continuity through economic value. euSEND is an initiative of, amongst others, the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development and the Dutch public-private partnership TI Pharma These organizations have a strong track record in the area of global health and public-private collaboration. euSEND is also supported by the Dutch Ministry of Health.
