EVAbits’ engineers apply their expertise to assist companies in developing and realising their ideas for new products and services. We keep up with the latest developments in embedded systems design, software and hardware, to be able to empower our customers with optimal advice and products. Generating reliable data is integral to the whole chain, all the way from data generation to presentation. With our broad knowledge of product innovation, we can take care of the entire development, from inception to production and maintenance, or co-develop it close collaboration with the clients’ own team. Since 2021, EVAbits has been developing the EVAjig (evajig.com), a turnkey functional testing system for assembled printed circuit boards (PCBAs). The EVAjig is geared towards low cost of ownership, by modularization and generalization of the electronics. Unlike competitor systems, the base platform -the fixture- can be used again-and-again for other products just by replacing a cassette. The EVAjig however does not compromise on quality or speed to achieve this. The standard version holds 12 modules that each can independently and in parallel test and program a device. All test reports, and indeed the tests themselves, are safely stored in the EVAjig portal, so that production can be tracked easily. In 2025, EVAbits has started work on the DEVjig. The DEVjig will enable test-driven development for hardware and embedded development. By providing a flexible bed-of-nails connection interface, combined with the powerful EVAjig backend, tests can be defined and redefined during prototype development. The DEVjig replaces (or augments)'basic' lab equipment such as power sources, scope, digital and analog IO and programming; removing clutter from your desk. And with no probes that have to be moved around, the EVAjig enables multi-user access to the prototype to program and test - even enabling remote-access. The DEVjig is developed with co-funding from the European Union.
