Exaurus LLC designs and manufactures industrial exoskeletons and conducts ergonomic risk assessments and workplace performance evaluations in industrial facilities. We are currently developing three products: exoskeleton for arm support, exoskeleton for back support and wearable chair. Prototype development was completed in mid-2021. All products are at the MVP stage. The back support exoskeleton has been actively tested (piloted) with potential customers over the last six months. Laboratory testing of the arm support exoskeleton has been completed. The back support exoskeleton is designed to reduce stress on the lower back when assisting workers lifting, holding, carrying and setting down loads. This exoskeleton is used in logistics and warehouses at industrial companies. For example, manual activities in rack and pallet warehouses, loading and unloading of trucks and containers at loading ramps, warehouse order picking. The arm support exoskeleton is designed to reduce the load on the upper arm girdle when performing work with prolonged arms elevation. It is also being leveraged in jobs that require holding a hand tool. This type of exoskeleton is used in factories that assemble, maintain, repair and operate machines and large equipment. For example, automobile and aviation assembly, repair and finishing of railroad cars and locomotives, shipbuilding. There is also an exoskeleton for the lower limbs, the wearable chair, to relieve strain on the legs when working in a standing posture for long periods of time. It helps to reduce the strain on the legs by allowing the person to work in a half-sitting posture. The weight of the body is transferred to the exoskeleton, allowing it to be used as a chair.
