EXCMR, Inc. was founded in 2008 by four Ohio State faculty and staff members as a University Technology Commercialization Company. Located in the Greater Columbus Area, a growing hub for Medical Device companies. EXCMR is an acronym for Exercise Stress Cardiac Magnetic Resonance. The Company's lead product is a Proprietary MRI-compatible treadmill that enables cardiovascular exercise stress testing in an MR environment. Currently, four pre-production “Beta” prototypes are being utilized in a multi-site clinical trial at leading Cardiac MRI centers. This trial is providing independent clinical validation of the underlying technology, the opportunity to investigate and solve challenges related to scalability, installation and utilization of the MRI treadmill system at remote locations, and substantial market exposure.
