As the University of Exeter Law School's flagship academic publication, the Exeter Law Review serves as a platform for innovative and sophisticated legal exposition, discussion, and debate. An open-access publication that also is available on HeinOnline, it has a distinguished history stemming from its original inception as the Bracton Law Journal in 1967. The Review is committed to the highest scholarly standards and to making a meaningful contribution to the legal community. The Exeter Law Review publishes annually scholarship across a wide range of legal topics. Essays and Articles are double blind peer reviewed by academics and practitioners in the field. The Review also publishes student contributions that meet the high standards established by the Review. For more information on the review, please visit In 2017, the Review created an online companion, that publishes shorter pieces addressing contemporary legal challenges from an scholarly point of view Most recently, the Review has sought to widen its outreach through the founding of the Exeter Law Review Podcast, where academics both within the Exeter Faculty and beyond are questioned on their latest research and suggestions for reform.
