Lindsey Smith is an accomplished entrepreneur, educator, curator, and exhibit content developer. With a passion for helping people interpret, preserve, and better understand the objects that make up our world, Lindsey has left her mark on both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. Through Exhibitsmith™, her artifact management and exhibit development firm that includes the preservation supply company, Hangerbee™, Lindsey works with clients from across the cultural heritage sector to realize their collection and exhibition goals. Exhibitsmith has worked with influential companies and organizations including the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago (The U-505 Experience, The Art of the Bicycle, and more), Geoffrey M. Curley + Associates (The International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes), Heritage Werks (archival management services), the State Historical Society of Iowa (Iowa: One Piece at a Time), the Danish Museum of America (Danish Roots, American Dreams), Salisbury House and Gardens (archival cataloging), and many more. Launched in 2014, Hangerbee™ helps customers easily and properly preserve, store, and display garments. Hangerbee was featured by Vogue in “How to Care for Vintage and Delicate Garments” (2021) and Hangerbee hangers were an integral part of the pre-auction exhibition of the André Leon Talley collection at Christie’s, Inc. Hangerbee hangers preserve garments owned by First Lady Betty Ford and Count Basie, as well as items at the National Air and Space Museum and at Garde Robe, the world's leading luxury wardrobe storage and preservation service. Hangerbee hangers can be found in boutiques across the country as well as in the showrooms of designer Lauren Manoogian.
