Exo Art Lab

We are a curatorial collective specialized in multi-artistic exhibitions. We have a decisive theoretical vocation helping us in setting up projects capable of rethinking the main categories of contemporary narratives. Combining our backgrounds in philosophy, arts management and contemporary art, we are proficient in dealing with all the phases of building a show: from the concept creation, to the dialogue and selection of the artists, from the communication via social media and press, to the physical and spatial installation of the artworks. Our name is a loan from Plato:"exo", in Ancient Greek, means "outside". The Platonic "Phaedrus", which exceptionally takes place outside the walls of Athens, is indeed a hymn to the extra-ordinary nature of Socrates. Socrates is far from the ordinary because of his constant exercise in reflection. Because he glimpses beauty in the folds of the everyday. Because he knows how to balance rationality with the desire to indulge in wonder. The platonic "Exo" is the most accurate summary of our statute. Our aspiration in designing exhibitions is, first of all, to walk, together with Socrates,"outside the walls".
