Exodus Farms

Exodus Farms helps children with broken hearts, broken hope, and broken families to find healing with the help of a herd of "rescued and repurposed" horses. Exodus’ “healing herd” consists of 16 horses, a donkey, a mini mule, and 4 minis - all given a permanent home here despite age, infirmities, behavior issues, physical challenges or just lack of training. Their message to those who visit is life-changing: not one of them is perfect, and some came to Exodus quite “broken,” but every one of them has a divine purpose here changing lives! Today, free of charge to all who visit, Exodus Farms serves just over 160 youth, who visit us weekly/biweekly/monthly to meet with our horses and the caring volunteers who give generously of their time to mentor these incredible young people. Through our program, children who have experienced severe trauma, abuse, or grief learn skills like emotional management, confidence, boundary-setting, and responsibility, and families learn new ways to love and support one another. All of this is made possible by an incredible group of 80+ volunteers - with and without horse experience - who often find their own lives transformed as they participate in the restoration of broken hearts!
