We bring the travel industry and pet owners together. We’re aiming to help travellers bring their pets with them if they choose, and to help hotels ( & beyond) promote pet friendly policies. HOW WE STARTED It started a while back when our founders wanted and needed to travel frequently. The solution was pet friendly travel and at that time it was nearly impossible. Hotels rarely took dogs, and if they did you’d always have to call for information. That’s what inspired Expawdition. Fast forward to now and many hotels are getting on board with accepting dogs (and cats) in some suites or all of their suites! More and more hotels recognize that the risk is low, and the payoff for client loyalty is sky-high. This is great news, but there weren’t great platforms to highlight these places and the process for travellers to find these options isn’t always easy. That’s where we started. These days, more and more hotels are creating pet policies and becoming cat, dog & in general pet friendly as a way to make guests feel welcomed and provide exceptional service that in turn drives the heart of their business. That’s a good thing for pet owners who want options! The problem is how difficult it is to easily access and understand information about bringing your pet on a trip with you. Yes, it can be simple enough to Google pet friendly places to stay these days, but what’s hard is knowing if your pet and your situation will be welcomed. Pet policies can be complicated and have exclusions. Prospective guests need to know a lot of different things to determine if they want to stay with the hotel they’re researching, and the research to find the perfect place can take ages. Beyond this, sometimes pet policies aren’t clear or kept up to date because they’re in the depths of a free listing site. This is where we seek to help – we work directly with hotels and general hospitality providers to bring future guests the information they need. Join us to be a part of the movement.
