Explorer TV is a multifaceted media company, dedicated to developing new media networks and producing an array of high-quality, original content for broadcast on our own platforms as well as others. Founded in 1992 the company was created to fill the needs of the televised visitor information market. Originally covering only Southern California, growing demand by four and five-star hotels in other regions prompted expansion in additional US and international markets. Today, viewership of Explorer TV travel programming exceeds 50 million people annually. Explorer TV has expanded into multiple hotel networks, with over hotel rooms under contract in the United States and Europe, making it the largest owned and operated visitor information TV network in the US and the only international network. Additionally, Explorer TV has created other closed-circuit TV networks on Carnival Cruise Lines/Holland America Cruise Lines, at official Visitors Information Centers for NYC and Company (Times Square) and LA Inc.(Hollywood, downtown Los Angeles and Port of Los Angeles), as well as LAX airport. In addition to increasing its travel programming viewership, Explorer TV has expanded into other areas of production including network TV production, commercial production, retail digital signage and corporate marketing videos.
