EXPOL is the largest manufacturer and distributor of polystyrene products in New Zealand. Ever since our founder Terry Mischefski cut the first block of polystyrene in the 1970s, innovation and flexibility have been at the core of our operations. Today EXPOL remains 100% New Zealand owned and supplies a full range of polystyrene insulation products for residential and commercial use. EXPOL products include wall, ceiling, floor and garage door insulation, pod floors, formwork and architectural shapes. These are all tested and meet industry standards and our underfloor insulation products are also appraised by BRANZ. Along with our EPS (expanded polystyrene) products, we also have a range of XPS (extruded polystyrene) and graphite-infused polystyrene products which are manufactured using our state-of-the-art production equipment. We make it easy to access EXPOL products by having a national network of manufacturing and warehousing sites, as well as long-standing relationships with New Zealand’s largest building supplies retailers. We’ve always taken a proactive approach to ensuring our insulation range is both environmentally safe to use and sustainable. We also run one of New Zealand’s largest polystyrene recycling plants and our EPS products do not use ozone-depleting gases.
