Exterior Supply

Exterior Supply is proud to offer an extensive line of exterior home products backed by a knowledgeable staff ready to meet the needs of everyone from the professional contractor to the do it your-selfer. The Exterior Supply Group is the result of a business started in 1979 by Michael L. Emily. Operating in South Carolina under the name of Greenwood Home Services, he was primarily engaged in residential new construction and renovation. As the need for a local source of distribution in vinyl products became apparent, Mr. Emily expanded his business to include a small office and warehouse for that purpose. The distribution business rapidly grew and by 1986 the construction division of the company was phased out to focus subsequent efforts exclusively toward developing the wholesale distribution business to its fullest potential. The company has grown through several expansions and currently consists of three locations. The original location in Greenwood, South Carolina followed by Elizabethtown, Kentucky, which opened in 1989 and Somerset, Kentucky in 1997. Each operation is individually incorporated and operates both as a separate entity and as a member of a “Controlled Group of Corporations.” Local key management positions at each location are filled by significant stockholders. Exterior Supply continues to explore additional opportunities in other markets and anticipates further expansions as favorable combinations of interested partners and/or locations are identified.
