Extraordinary Ventures

Extraordinary Ventures creates meaningful job opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities through sustainable business practices. In 2007, a group of parents in Chapel Hill, NC founded Extraordinary Ventures (EV). Their vision was to create a portfolio of self-sustaining small businesses designed around the skills and interests of their workforce. Today, EV operates 6 small businesses and successfully employs more than 55 individuals, many whom are now celebrating more than a decade with the organization. EV operates under the philosophy that all people deserve the opportunity to live meaningful and productive lives, to the fullest extent possible.
