Extreme Hangout

The Extreme Hangout is a climate action platform built to amplify changemakers voices, popularise climate awareness and inspire urgent environmental action. Born from our love of adventure sports, the natural world and our passion for protecting the planet we create live events which are places for engagement, inspiration, education, and entertainment, delivering talks, podcasts and media content that connect activists, brands, entrepreneurs, and creators driving climate solutions. To date we have delivered over 17 events, had over visitors, worked with over wonderful speakers and story tellers from Lily Cole and Bear Grylls to Paul Polman and the Prime Minister of the Bahamas. Since launching at COP26 in Glasgow, we’ve delivered 30+ events, welcomed visitors, and featured speakers—including Bear Grylls, Lily Cole, Paul Polman, and the Prime Minister of the Bahamas. At COP27 Egypt, our venue was described as “the most beautiful, engaging event and maybe the coolest venue at COP27” – Iván Duque Márquez, Former President of Colombia. At Cop 28 in Dubai, we were invited to become an official COP Partner and locate in the Green Zone and activated the same at COP29 in Baku. We are now working on COP30 in Brazil where everyone is welcome. Our new initiative, Extreme Hangout Local, brings the movement to cities around the world through 1-2 day events led by local climate advocates, NGOs, influencers, brands, and tourism boards. The Extreme Hangout team provides a licence package, including the brand framework, event operations manual, speaker guidance, and access to our media distribution network.
