More than 2 million individuals in Florida have disabilities, with almost half experiencing severe disabilities that affect their ability to see, hear, communicate, reason, walk or perform other basic life functions. The Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology, Inc.(FAAST) works to improve the quality of life for Floridians with disabilities through assistive services and technology. FAAST educates Floridians on assistive services and technology through trainings and outreach activities. FAAST is a non-profit organization funded by The U.S. Department of Education through the Assistive Technology Act of 2004, Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA), the State of Florida and private foundations and individuals.
