Fablab Belfast

Part of the Ashton Community Group, FABLAB Belfast (Fabrication Laboratory) is a fully kitted fabrication workshop which gives everyone, from small children through to entrepreneurs and businesses, the capability to turn their ideas and concepts into a reality. Using Open Source software and a selection of computer controlled machines, users can design and make almost anything. We can offer quotations on design and manufacturing for a range of industrial and commercial applications. FABLAB's were born from an outreach project by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in inner-city Boston in 2005. Since then FABLAB's have quickly spread around the world. There are over 700 FABLAB's from the inner cities of the USA to villages of Africa.
