It is with great pride and major excitement that we FAÇADE ARCHITECTURAL SYSTEMS (PTY) LTD officially announce the exclusive distributorship of HUNTER DOUGLAS architectural products and ALUBOND fire retardant metal composites. FAS, a wholly owned subsidiary of the HAMPSON PETERS group, will continue to service the industry with these quality products and committed to working effectively and efficiently to achieve mutual success on all associated projects. FAS reached successful acquisition negotiations with Hunter Douglas Europe for full official take-over and control from 1 March 2021. We will continue to trade from the Northriding facility. In November 2020, the ALUBOND brand of Aluminium Fire-Retardant Composite Panels was taken over by FAS. Following the impressive growth of the ALUBOND brand in the SA market, FAS were instrumental in closing out and signing the new and exclusive rights for Alubond in SA. The Alubond USA brand was introduced into SA market in early 2018 and rapidly gained popularity from both professionals and contractors alike. The significant projects and individual company identities which highlight this world leading product include Katherine Towers (Bidvest) in Sandton; Deloitte Head Office in Waterfall, 144 Oxford in Rosebank; Jaguar Land Rover Umhlanga and Polokwane; Leroy Merlin; Nissan SA; DSV in Olifantstein; RMB in Sandton, Bridgewater One at Century City and ACSA Western Precinct at O R Tambo International Airport to name a few. The Hunter Douglas brand has been a product on the South African market for many years now and is a well-known brand within the Commercial and Residential construction industries.
