New York in the 1960s, Andy Warhol, the plastic artist, adapted art to the concept of mass production, running off art work with outside help as on a factory line. He eventually turned his studio into a meeting place, the Factory, for people of all walks of life, including artists and musicians. Warhol merged the creativity of art with the requirements of the mass market. As of the end of the 1970s, the so-called Y-Generation emerged, characterised by its optimism, innovative approach, resourceful behaviour and skills in communications technology. With a strong sense of community and confident in their skills, they believed that working environments should be both pleasant and provide the opportunity for enhanced knowledge, through a process of sharing. Factory | Business Centre & CoWork was born of the combination of Warhol’s Factory with the Y generation’s changed perception of the work place. Factory, a CoWorking Space for Entrepreneurs, Freelancers, Startups and small companies.
