FakePress produces cross media, open ended, multi author publications with a contemporary ethnographic approach, using mobile technolgies, location based platforms, spimes, natural interfaces, interaction design. FakePress is the result of the research process that is aimed towards two main objectives:* the analysis of current publishing models, their current state of crisis and the possibilities offered by the contemporary world to redefine them, leveraging the new ways in which it is possible to create, share and disseminate knowledge, culture, narratives;* the design of hybrid media that adapt to the ways in which we perceive our bodies, our relationships, our presence in cities and in natural environments in today's world, in which our perceptions are augmented through multiple digital infoscapes that are constantly superimposed to the ordinary reality; in which cities, architectures and bodies are filled with codes coming from commerce, politics, trends and processes defining new symbolic layers onto which it is possible to open new discourses and dialogues; in which the advances in science and technology open up the possibilities to create bridges among people, objects, processes and places, redefining the way in which we perceive, use, communicate and share our identities, becoming multiple, open, accessible, interactive. FakePress produces mixed-media, multi-author, open-ended publications that leverage several technologies to reconceptualize current narrative forms, books, and other editorial products. SPIMEs, mobile and location based technologies, sensors, artificial intelligence and natural interfaces are used to create dislocated, time-warped, multi-perspective, pervasive and ubiquitous narratives with a possibilistic approach and an ethnographic methodology that is centered on experiencial, relational and emotional domains.
