FarmWallet created a blockchain-based solution to address the significant issue of weak to nonexistent links among participants in the agri-value chain. The FarmWallet system enables transactions between tiers of the agri-value chain, allowing farmers to sell their goods, place orders, and pay for supplies and mechanised services. In order for financial institutions to provide smallholder farmers with loan facilities that are suited to their needs and capacities, data on their activities flow into a built-in credit rating system that determines which farmers qualify for what types and levels of credit. Farmers can access inputs, information, and markets thanks to FarmWallet's technology, which links and facilitates transactions among the many participants in the agri-value chain.
