Farpa - Centro De Artes

Farpa is an independent arts centre in Maia, Portugal, founded in 2025. It emerges as a reminder of the practical importance of art in life: as a revolutionary way of feeling, thinking and imagining the world. With roots in the visual arts and an inclination towards contemporary anthropological thinking, we are an intersectional space that encourages interdisciplinarity. We organise moments of critical reflection through alternative and non-traditional learning environments. We believe art must be accessible, because it is for everyone: it happens in encounters, always stronger with community and diversity.
