FCIS was founded in 1978 in Thompson, IA. In the spring of 1982, FCIS opened a branch office in Forest City, IA. In the fall of 1982, a nationwide mass marketing effort was undertaken for the purpose of insuring Winnebago brand products nationwide through the WIT Club. FCIS now maintains endorsements from all major RV manufacturers. In December of FCIS moved to its current location at 145 South Fourth Street in Forest City, IA.
