Felipe Martinez Carbonell

Felipe Martinez Carbonell is an award winning director, producer, writer, and editor. Originally from Argentina, Felipe began his career in film in Rosario in 2009. His first short film "Llantos"(translated as "Tears" in English) was selected by FEISAL (Federation of Schools of Image and Sound of Latin America) to be screened across the entire region of Latin America. His second short film Momento (translated as "Moment" in English), which he wrote, directed, edited, and produced, won Best Short Film at the Latin American Film Festival. In 2014, Felipe moved to California to study film where he enrolled in and then graduated from UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) In Los Angeles, he had the opportunity to produce content for Defiant Pictures with some of the world's greatest talent including Shirley MacLaine, Jessica Lange, Demi Moore, Hillary Duff, and others. Besides work in film, Felipe has also enjoyed the opportunity to direct, produce, write and edit advertising campaigns for companies such as the ad agency Acento Advertising and health care company Banner Health in the United States. In Argentina, he has also directed, produced, written and edited content, commercials and institutional videos for the credit card company Tarjeta Naranja, the clothing brand Ticket and the bi-national center ARICANA to mention a few. Currently, Felipe is running his production company, Hemisferio Films. They have finished production on their most recent short film, Retrato Imaginario, which has already received attention from various news and media sources in Latin America and abroad.
