Fern Architecture

Fern Architecture is a small practice providing sustainable, comfortable and thoughtful architecture. The practice was formed in 2019 by Christopher Chapman, an architect with experience in sustainable residential architecture. He is interested in high performance construction and has previously trained as a Passive House designer. Chris has worked in practice in Yorkshire since 2014. Fern is focused on residential projects, finding great satisfaction in helping a client to realise their dream home, be it through an extension, renovation or new build. We believe in architecture of its time and place.This means taking a contemporary approach to design, whilst still responding to the location. This is the approach defined by Clare Nash as Contemporary Vernacular Design. Environmental sustainability is a key consideration in all projects and we aspire to provide sustainable solutions for all budgets and requirements.
