Founded in FR is a research-driven architectural practice distinguished by its innovative approach to cultural, infrastructural, and urban development. The studio brings together a diverse 60-person team of architects, urban researchers, curatorial experts, and storytellers from across the globe, from Australia to Shenzhen to New York. Drawing on Mexico’s rich cultural heritage while engaging with contemporary architectural discourse, the practice develops projects that bridge local context with global innovation. The studio’s portfolio spans landmark cultural institutions, major infrastructure projects, healthcare facilities, and private commissions throughout Latin America. Notable works include the iconic Museo Soumaya in Mexico City, Terminal Beta at the New El Salvador Airport, Bitcoin City—an innovative urban development powered by geothermal energy—and a state-of-the-art hospital complex in Los Cabos. Each project reflects the practice’s commitment to architecture that responds to historical, social, and environmental contexts while advancing technological innovation. Notable commissions include the New International Airport for Mexico City developed in collaboration with Norman Foster, Terminal Beta at the New El Salvador Airport, Bitcoin City—an innovative urban development powered by geothermal energy, and a state-of-the-art hospital complex in Los Cabos that reimagines healthcare architecture for the region. These projects, along with private residences and public commissions throughout Latin America, reflect his commitment to architecture that responds to evolving social and technological needs.
