Founded Fernow Consulting in to help entrepreneurs, enterprises and visionary nonprofits innovate and grow more successfully. Representative clients over the years include AnswerDash (Voyager Capital - backed startup), Athena Partners (bottled water social venture acquired by DS Waters), Celebrity Cruises, General Mills, King County Library System, Medify (Voyager Capital - backed start-up acquired by Alliance Health Networks), ShipRush (SasS firm acquired by Descartes Systems Group), Microsoft, Nordstrom, Sara Lee, Starbucks, Sylvan Learning Centers, T-Mobile, and others. Client engagements are confidential but typically involve helping them successfully innovate, accelerate growth, enter new markets, or improve their customer experience. Depending on what the client needs I can take an active role - for example, serving as CMO on demand or leading market research projects - or serve behind the scenes, coaching high performers and adding value as a trusted thought partner. I enjoy collaborating with existing teams and can also bring in external talent as needed. Because I’m also a mystery author and former theater practitioner, I bring an appreciation for the creative process, which informs my innovation practice.
