ferryhouse is an independent record company based in Hamburg, Germany. Founded 2006 by media entrepreneur Frank Otto and music executive Björn Mathes, ferryhouse offers artists, producers and label partners a full-service structure for artist development, product management, music marketing, PR and distribution. Since the beginning, ferryhouse has focused on the artist and the value of creativity. The releases and current artist roster include newcomers as well as established acts and combines a wide range of genres from Indie, Pop, Singer/Songwriter to Rock. International acts such as Cassia, Luke Sital-Singh, Island, Teitur, The Subways, Haerts, Illuminine, Sarah Klang, Emma Elisabeth, Josh Kumra, Luke Elliot, Thomas Dybdahl, Nic Cester, Slide, Ida Laurberg, Cayucas, Lewis & Leigh, LA Women, Younger Hunger or Emma McGrath are joined by German artists including Benne, Irie Révoltés, Berge, EMMA6, Alexander Knappe, Mal Éléve, Martin Gallop, Fullax and many more. Combining analytic and targeting tools with personal A&R and product management we strongly believe in an enourmous creative and economic potential for the music market based on the dynamics of audio/video streaming and a rapidly evolving media landscape. As for the label name: in times past the ferryhouse was both a shelter and a place to embark on new journeys. In our case it is literally a haven for innovators and adventurers. We develop individual concepts for today’s music discovery – data-driven, but always music minded. Ferryhouse is always looking for extraordinary artists, collaborations, good music and great people.
