Fesq & Company have been servicing the needs of Sydney venues since 1848. Georges Fesq arrived that year with 27 barrels of his uncle’s wine from Bordeaux. He was a supercargo, in charge of selling the wine from port to port until it was gone. For reasons lost to time, he decided Sydney looked like a good place to stop and stay. He wrote home and said, send more wine; the market here is good. Somewhat remarkably, the merchant business he started at the end of George St, 180 years ago, is still working on that same idea – bringing the great and exciting beverages to the hands of customers in Sydney and beyond. Over the generations, the business has specialised in wholesale distribution, staying independent and family owned throughout. It is currently managed by the sixth generation, with Sandy, David and Harriet Fesq each working in the company. Today, we reach every licensed customer in Australia, with a true skill set in premium brand building, brand management, trade sales and communications. We are based in Sydney, with sales and marketing staff in each major city. Throughout, Fesq & Company have been merchants of exceptional beverages, dedicated to giving our customers what their customers want.
