Festo AG is a global player and an independent family-owned company with headquarters in Esslingen am Neckar, Germany. The company supplies pneumatic and electrical automation technology to customers of factory and process automation in over 40 industries. The products and services are available in 176 countries. Global Production Center (GPC) Sofia is one of the biggest plants of Festo AG specializing in production of electronics and electric drives – more than 1300 different products: flow, position and pressure sensors, valve modules, connectivity cables, PLC controllers and servo motors. Within the Technological and Engineering Center (TEC) Sofia are developed more than 40 new products in close cooperation with the research and development teams of other Festo sites. Currently Festo Bulgaria is expanding these operations not only by increasing the number of engineers and developers hired but also – with spreading the count and the level of competencies and technologies used.
