Fico Foundation

The Fico Foundation is birthed out of the death of Fico Dougan who was knifed to death at the age of 17 in the borough of Croydon in 2013. Since 2014 we have engaged with over young people across the borough and from BAME backgrounds to provide alternative methods to crime and gang violence to prevent the rise of knife crime within the community. We provide mentorship, host regular events, provide one on one counselling and weekly meetings that allow young people to network and interact with like-minded young people and have a safe place to interact. We have worked with a variety of schools and colleges within the borough I.e. Croydon college, East Surrey College, Archbishop Tennisons Croydon & more, councils and local businesses and corporate companies such as Microsoft, Bombardier Transport to provide financial literacy, mentorship, cv building and business skills events and are a bridge to engage BAME communities and hard to reach groups.
