FICOM BUSINESS PLC has begun promoting Ethiopian specialty coffee to the globe in 2017 under the brand CaffeOl Coffee. CaffeeOl Coffee was founded by Faiza Alewi Ahmed, who took her love for coffee around the world, from Italy to the Middle East. After she received her certification from the Specialty Coffee Association, she used the opportunity to learn different roasting and brewing methods from cultures outside of her own. Faiza’s research paid off by creating the highest-quality coffee for coffee lovers everywhere. Her passion for coffee is reflected in her signature saying, “The ignition of my day is the aroma and taste of freshly brewed Ethiopian coffee. The taste is heavenly and my best of days always start with that first cup,” and she is absolutely right. Our products originate from the birthplace of coffee: Ethiopia. We purchase from the Yirgachefe and Guji regions, where the country’s finest coffee grows. We offer light, medium, and dark roast, which we export to Qatar, Oman, the UK, and most recently, the US. Our products are available for purchase in Walmart, online, and our first high-end café in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The company, through its barista training center, offers its women staff with international standard training programs with SCA certification creating professional baristas that represent Ethiopia in the international stage. Last but not list, FICOM (Caffeol Coffee) offers local coffee gourmet beans from local distributors and preparing it into specialty coffee through our unique cleaning, drying, roasting and brewing techniques. We are a proud female-run business, employing more than 15 women and young girls. We strive to support female farmers, brewers, and baristas to empower them to become financially independent and provide them with the chance to support their families.
