Film Possible

Film Possible is a non-profit supporting the next generation of African filmmakers through training, mentorship, and access to platforms. We run year-round initiatives that nurture talent, champion bold storytelling, and grow new audiences for African cinema. Our programs include: Matatu Film Stage; A mobile cinema and distribution festival showcasing African films Matatu Film Residency; A space for East African filmmakers developing long-form projects Matatu Film Lab; Workshops and mentorship for skill-building at all career stages Generation Film Possible; Training and support for filmmakers under 18 Matatu Film Fund; Financial support to help bring new film projects to life By encouraging risk-taking, experimentation, and innovation, we create a forward-thinking environment that supports filmmakers from concept to distribution.
