Finansiel Stabilitet

Finansiel Stabilitet is a state-owned public limited company under the Danish Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs. We work to ensure financial stability in Denmark by ensuring that distressed or failing financial institutions are handled in a manner, that does not destabilize the financial system. Our goal is to handle our activities efficiently, responsibly and by minimizing losses to the Danish state and society while upholding high standards, including fair and proper conduct. Finansiel Stabilitet was established in October 2008 as a part of an agreement between the Danish state and the Danish banking sector (the Privat Contingency Association) on a scheme to secure financial stability. The agreement was reached in response to the international crisis and the impact it had on the financial sector. We collaborate closely with authorities and stakeholders across the financial sector an contribute actively to Denmark´s financial stability.
