Fintech Fundi is the working together of two companies - Royal Finance and AP Solutions. Royal Finance has been trading in the micro-finance space in South Africa for over 27 years and has processed over 1 million consumer loans worth more than R2Bn. AP solutions had their roots in accounting and, from there, grew into the development of technological solutions for small enterprises to government institutions. Our SaaS loan origination and management system was born out of frustration with the product offerings available ten years ago in the micro-finance space. More specifically, the disappointment of not controlling regulation-based calculations, a lack of efficiencies in managing bad debt and a loan book, and the inability to ask for customisations when needed. So, for ten years, the system has been built and honed piece by piece to what it is today - one of the best on the market for compliance, efficient for managing any loan book, and surprisingly customisable to customer needs. During the last ten years, the need for technology in micro-finance businesses also rose significantly - and so did the need for internal desktop support, network setups, hardware acquisition, external monthly software packages, firewalls and security, and more. Thus, we are very knowledgeable about solving these problems for small and medium micro-finance enterprises.
