FIREPROOF Wellness is a firefighter-specific medical and wellness organization focused on addressing the unique health risks associated with the fire service. Our work is built around the realities of the job, including shift work, occupational exposures, cumulative stress, and the long-term impact these factors have on health, readiness, and career longevity. Traditional medical models often rely on general population standards that fail to reflect the physiological demands and risk profile of firefighters. FIREPROOF Wellness exists to close that gap by aligning medical care with the occupational realities of firefighting and the long-term health of those who serve. Our model integrates firefighter-focused telemedicine, advanced laboratory testing, structured education, and ongoing clinical oversight. Care is designed to be accessible within the constraints of shift schedules while maintaining medical rigor and evidence-based decision-making. We regularly publish and share research, studies, and clinical insights related to firefighter health, including cardiovascular risk, metabolic health, hormone disruption, sleep impairment, toxic exposure, and recovery. This content is intended to support informed leadership decisions and elevate the standard of care applied to the fire service.
